Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Names, dates of birth, or other terms entered in a search tool are sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Bent County Warrant Records does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, the message and the contact details you include may be kept long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. The message is not shared outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine technical information may be recorded when a page loads, including:
- Your device's internet protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- The date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. They and analytics services help measure traffic, popular pages, navigation patterns, and site performance in aggregate. You can block or remove cookies through browser controls, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Information collected through ordinary site use may support the following functions:
- Operating, securing, and improving the website
- Routing a search request to the relevant partner
- Understanding which pages visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and performance problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Bent County Warrant Records does not host, compile, sell, or maintain an official warrant database or personal warrant-record files. It provides general directions to the Clerk of Court at Bent Combined Court, the Bent County Sheriff's Office, Las Animas municipal contacts, and Colorado court resources. Colorado has no single public statewide warrant database. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes that appear on content pages. Information submitted to a partner is governed by that company's privacy policy, including its retention, use, and disclosure rules. Those practices are outside our control. Review the provider's policy before entering personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Colorado courts, the Bent County Sheriff's Office, the City of Las Animas, legal resources, advertisers, or search providers. Once you follow an external link, that destination's privacy terms apply. Check them before sharing data.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select ads. Such tracking takes place through their systems and policies, not this policy.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search providers that process a query you submit
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that place or measure ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information in our control. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, however. Absolute security and uninterrupted protection cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied personal data, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence and applicable law. Colorado public-record access rules, including the Colorado Open Records Act and the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, govern access to records held by covered public bodies and criminal-justice agencies. They do not convert this private website into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, you may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Ask for deletion when the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where a right applies
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. Any new version will be posted here with an updated effective date, and it will govern use from that point forward.
Effective date: September 9, 2026
